Adele considers Drake’s friendship to be one of her “greatest blessings.”
Adele is speaking up about her celebrity pals. Drake was one of the few people who heard her album 30 before it was released, she claimed in a recent interview.
Adele now considers her friendship with Certified Lover Boy to be one of her career’s “greatest gifts.”
She claimed they have something in common in that they both became famous before the age of streaming. She described having access to someone in a similar position in their work as a blessing.
“We’re a vanishing species.” […] We must have numbered in the tens. I don’t believe there will ever be so many of us at the top doing it the way we did it again. We left before the stream began. We came out before all the social media craziness of ‘You have five seconds to entertain; otherwise, get the f*ck out.’ We used to go to the old school.”
The “I Drink Wine” singer also admitted that she has a complicated connection with fame.
“My pastime became my work,” he says. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. So, why would I want to go do my passion when it is my job? […] Fame terrifies me. And, you know, my profession entails a certain kind of celebrity.”
