Britney Spears wants to record music again after conservatorship win

Britney Spears’ major success day is Friday, when she is officially free from her conservatorship after 13 years. An LA judge has finally granted her complete control over her life and finances.

But it’s her post-conservatorship ambitions that her supporters and following are most interested in. The singer is already making plans, which include the possibility of recording new tracks. A source told Page Six exclusively that Britney “wants to compose music and perform again,” but it’s “not her top priority right now and hasn’t been for a while.”

“It was never her goal to abandon her work completely. People close to Britney spoke for her and claimed she was retiring, but they were actually speaking for her “The outlet was told by a source. “The only thing she’s stated is that she wouldn’t work under her father’s control again,” the source continued, “but now that he’s no longer her conservator, she’s eager and even excited to get back to it one day.”

The question of whether the ‘Toxic’ singer will ever return to music has sparked a lot of speculation. Britney Spears entered into a mental health institution in January 2019 after her “indefinite work break,” according to Page Six.

Due to the layoff, her second Vegas residency, ‘Britney: Domination,’ was also postponed. Britney’s 15-year-old son, Jayden, told his followers on Instagram Live in March 2020 that his mother was still undecided about a comeback.

Larry Rudolph, the artist’s longtime manager, resigned in July, alleging that the singer intended to “officially retire.” Britney Spears is expected to return to the game soon, according to TMZ. She wants to return to the studio, but she hasn’t decided on producers or writers yet.

The Grammy winner is open to returning to work, according to a source, but “her focus is on the elimination of her conservatorship, marrying Sam, and having a baby.”

Judge Brenda Penny of the Los Angeles Superior Court declared on Friday that Britney Spears is now competent of controlling her estate, and the conditions that led to the 2008 restricted legal agreement no longer apply.

Last August, Nicks — who was scheduled to perform at the Jazz Aspen Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley, Austin City Limits, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival — pulled all remaining festival appearances for the year citing a rise in Covid-19 cases throughout the United States.
