CITY GIRLS TALK DRAKE CUTTING THEIR ‘IN MY FEELINGS’ VERSES DOWN TO JUST SHOUTOUTS

The City Girls were handed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when they were featured on Drake’s popular tune “In My Feelings,” yet the end result wasn’t quite what they had hoped for.

JT and Yung Miami discussed securing Drake’s endorsement in a recent interview on The Carlos Watson Show, revealing that they delivered him entire verses for the Scorpion song before it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks.

“It was a major secret we had to keep for like a month before Drake called,” City Girls explained. “I remember thinking to myself after he finished his feature with Lil Baby, ‘Damn, we made it.’ Drake isn’t going to phone our number.’ We had no idea if the song would make the album or not; all we knew was that he wanted us to be on it.”

“We both did verses,” they continued. They called us back and informed us that it will be included on the CD. But it wasn’t the entire verse. Drake snatched our a$$. ‘Y’all hoes aren’t ready for whole verses yet, but I’m going to give y’all a go,’ he was undoubtedly thinking. We were grateful for that, and it was then that we realized [we had made it].”

The TrapMoneyBenny, Blqnmind, and 40-produced “In My Feelings,” which was released in June 2018, doesn’t feature City Girls directly but does mention their names in the credits.

JT raps, “Two bad bitches and we kissin’ in the Wraith/Kissin’-kissin’ in the Wraith, kiss-kissin’ in the Wraith/I need that black card and the code to the safe/Code to the safe, code-code to the safe-safe/I need that black card and the code to the safe/Code to the safe, code-code to the safe-safe/I need that black card and the “I show him how that neck work/Fuck that Netflix and chill—your what’s net-net-net worth?” Yung Miami continues.

In August 2018, City Girls released their own remix of the song, which included both verses – listen to it here.

50 Cent and Jimmy Kimmel

Nicki Minaj and her cousin’s acquaintances are still being mocked. After reading the information about the COVID-19 vaccine causing testicular irritation, 50 Cent and Jimmy Kimmel cracked a few jokes while discussing the forthcoming BMF concert.

“I heard you got Nicki Minaj’s cousin’s friend’s testicles to be on this program, and I know this is meant to be a surprise, but I heard you got Nicki Minaj’s cousin’s friend’s testicles to be on this show. Is that accurate?” Kimmel inquired.

50, who is never afraid to tell a joke, jumped right in.

50 joked, “Listen, you didn’t look into the intricacies of the scenario.” “According to the details, he was set to marry. The testicles, I believe, are from the bachelor party. That was never said. Why hadn’t the bachelor party been considered? It was Pfizer if you had a great bachelor party and then your body started swelling.”

If you didn’t get the humor, Pfizer also makes Viagra.

The playful conversation between the two can be heard below.
