Drake Cries Watching Kanye West Sing "Runaway" In Previously Unseen Video

At this month’s Free Larry Hoover concert, Drake was moved to tears when he watched Kanye West dedicate “Runaway” to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Drake can be seen becoming upset as Kanye West sings “Runaway” and dedicates it to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in a previously unseen footage of Drake watching Kanye West perform at their “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert earlier this month.

When Drake and Kanye West put their differences aside and crushed their dispute, they co-headlined the “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert in Los Angeles, hip-hop fans were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime performance. We’ve seen a lot of videos from the performance, but one video, which shows Drake getting teary-eyed while watching Ye play, was seemingly never shared on social media until this weekend.

During the concert, Ye sang, “I need you to run right back to me, baby/I need you to run right back to me, more precisely, Kimberly.” Drake was seen getting emotional to the side of the stage as he finished the song. During the unexpected moment, he appeared to have shown some vulnerability, with a tear maybe falling down his cheek.

Although we haven’t heard much from Drake and Ye in recent weeks, their collaboration was one of hip-most hop’s unforgettable moments of the year. Watch Drake appear to shed a tear throughout the performance in the video below.

Last August, Nicks — who was scheduled to perform at the Jazz Aspen Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley, Austin City Limits, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival — pulled all remaining festival appearances for the year citing a rise in Covid-19 cases throughout the United States.

“While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the five performances I had planned for 2021,” she wrote in a statement shared to social media. “Because singing and performing have been my whole life, my primary goal is to keep healthy so I can continue singing for the next decade or longer.
