NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — In an interview with Tucker Carlson, singer-songwriter Kid Rock refused to apologize for a 2019 rant at his Nashville honky tonk where he verbally attacked Oprah Winfrey and others.
Rock defended himself to Carlson, saying “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts, I own what I said.”
The feature interview was the latest episode of “Tucker Carlson Originals: Life of a Rockstar.”
Video from TMZ back in 2019 showed Rock’s profanity-laced rant where he slurred his words on stage. He called out Oprah, Joy Behar, and Kathie Lee Gifford.
“I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan,” he said. “I got drunk and f—i’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f— Oprah”
