Beyoncé has released a new album!. I repeat, the Queen of Pop has released her seventh studio album, Renaissance.
Six years after the release of her previous studio album Lemonade, the Grammy Award-winning superstar has finally released her quarantine project, which is chock-full of absolute bangers.
The 16-song project is also known as ‘act I and it is the first of three albums in the series, so fans can expect plenty more music after this initial release.
The 40-year-old singer released the album today, which includes sixteen new songs.
So far, Queen B has released a song from the album, “BREAK MY SOUL,” and it is rumored that the album draws inspiration from dancehall and country sounds.
The album begins with ‘Im That Girl,’ followed by Cozy, Alien Superstar, Cuff It, and Energy.
The lead single, BREAK MY SOUL, is number six on the tracklist, and the song with the most listening time is ‘Virgo’s Groove,’ which was released just over six minutes after BREAK MY SOUL.
This song is a nod to Beyoncé’s Virgo star sign, as she was born on September 4th. She closes the album with a track called ‘Summer Renaissance,’ a nod to the album’s July release.
Beyonce has released an alternate cover for her new album, which will be used on the album’s vinyl edition.
The queen sits on a horse, but she is wearing a cowboy hat, which could be a nod to the album’s alleged country sound.
The album cover’s black background has been replaced with a renaissance-style print of horses and patterns.
The song appears in the 2021 biopic film King Richard, which stars Will Smith as Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, and won Best Actor for his performance.
The superstar and her dancers (including her daughter Blue Ivy) wore vibrant neon yellow outfits for the performance, which took place at a tennis court in Compton where the Williams sisters were coached by their father when they were young.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement for the star, the performance, and the new music as he took the stage for the first time in 5 years.
