Kanye And Drake Concert Posters Appear in Toronto

The “Free Larry Hoover concert” is coming up in less than two weeks.

Following Kanye West and Drake’s highly publicized feud and subsequent reconciliation, we’re on the verge of witnessing a once-in-a-lifetime event. Their impending joint concert on Thursday, Dec. 9 will serve as the catalyst for the two rap heavyweights reconciling.

Billboards promoting the gig surfaced in Drake’s hometown of Toronto yesterday (Nov. 26), showcasing the image used when the concert was first announced.

Despite the fact that the event will be held in the Forum in Los Angeles, these promotional signs may be intended to encourage people to continue purchasing tickets. Fans were stunned by the exorbitant ticket prices when they went on sale last week, and the performance has yet to sell out.

Although the show is officially listed as a Ye concert with Drake as a special guest, organizer J. Prince teased that additional acts could be added to support Larry Hoover.

The performance is ultimately intended to raise awareness and support for Hoover’s campaign to be released from his nearly 50-year jail sentence for gang-related offenses committed in the 1970s with Chicago’s Gangster’s Disciples. When Kanye first reached out to Drake via Instagram video to collaborate on a concert and end their feud, he stated that it was in honor of Larry Hoover.

The show was all but confirmed when Drake met with J. Prince and Larry Jr., the son of Hoover, a few days later. Kanye West used petty billboards in Toronto last September to advertise his Donda album in opposition to Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, so this is a nice full circle moment for Ye and Drizzy.

Drake and Kanye will now share the stage, and Drizzy is trying to attract some of his 6 fans to the LA concert.
