Kendrick Lamar gets new manager as fans await new album

Kendrick Lamar has apparently hired a new business manager, fueling curiosity about a new album.

Fans have been waiting all year for the follow-up to 2017’s ‘DAMN.,’ with rumors returning this summer after the rapper revealed his final studio album for longtime label Top Dawg Entertainment.

Then, before changing his Spotify profile image, Lamar registered a slew of new songs with ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers), indicating that new music was on the way.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the California rapper has hired Anthony Saleh as his new business manager. As a longstanding manager of Nas, Saleh is well-known in the industry, according to the site.

It comes as Lamar gears up for a major performance at the Day N Vegas event on Friday (November 12). According to Setlist.FM, he last performed live in November 2019.

It’s possible that an album announcement will happen at or shortly after the forthcoming event.

Meanwhile, Lamar recently appeared alongside Ty Dolla $ign, James Fauntleroy, and Snoop Dogg on Terrace Martin’s new track ‘Drones.’

Rumors are also circulating about a possible Kendrick Lamar headline performance at Glastonbury 2022, after the rapper was scheduled to headline the cancelled 2020 festival.
