The most well-known girl trio in K-pop, which debuted on the music industry back in 2015, seems to be breaking up, and Lil Uzi Vert, a huge GFRIEND fan, is upset.

It is said that the pair had split up over a tweet from seven years ago.

Prior to starting a relationship with JT in 2015, Uzi sought to make a social media splash with Distortedd. He said to the Philadelphia artist, “If you were meth, I’d do it all day.”

On Monday, April 4, Distortedd re-posted an earlier tweet from Uzi before deleting it. But even so, the City Girl supposedly broke up with her partner after viewing the revived tweet, which was enough to make her angry.

Uzi tweeted, “Jt broke up with me over this dumb ass stuff,” which has since been deleted. I hardly do anything, FML.

JT clarified that Uzi initially misled her and claimed the Distortedd tweet was a hoax. In her message, she stated, “Idgaf if it was 2012 he said it was fake instead of old & because he want to run to the internet about it here y’all go!!!

Uzi expressed his annoyance with social media just prior to breaking up. “I don’t know why you guys keep trying to mess up my little life,” he said. “Damn what I do? ” he questioned.

The marriage has been the subject of breakup rumors previously. There were rumors of a breakup in August after they stopped following one another on social media.

Beginning their relationship in 2020, the couple frequently displayed PDA, including having tattoos of each other’s names on their arms. For his girlfriend’s 29th birthday in December, Uzi booked out Nickelodeon Studios Park and gave her a McLaren as a surprise.

Is Lil Uzi Vert fan of Gfriend?

Lil Uzi Vert, who is already well known for his varied taste, recently took to Twitter to express his emotions on the breakup of K-pop girl duo GFRIEND. The rapper first changed his profile photo to an image of the group after expressing his conflicted feelings with a sequence of emojis, and then he went on Instagram live to rage against the group.

“Everybody knows my favorite K-pop group is GFRIEND. I don’t care, whatever happens, I don’t care if they breaking up, I don’t care if they stop making music, I don’t care if you don’t know who GFRIEND is, I don’t care if you think they older than what they are, I don’t care if you think they’re not real people, I don’t care, GFRIEND! K-pop!”

Source Music, the management company for GFRIEND, announced in a formal statement earlier this week that the group will be breaking up. The 2015-formed group, which consists of Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji, will formally break up on May 22 due to an inability to come to agreement with terms to renew contracts with its members.

It’s also interesting to note that Lil Uzi Vert has already expressed his admiration for the group’s dance routines and vocals, having done so back in 2015.
