Megan Thee Stallion Steps Up To Help Victims Of Travis Scott’s Astroworld Tragedy

Megan Thee Stallion, a rapper from Houston, Texas, has pledged to assist victims of the Astroworld Festival catastrophe.

Meg wants to do whatever she can to help the families of the eight fans who died in a crowd surge during Travis Scott’s NRG Park performance on Friday (November 5th), as well as the hundreds of people who were hurt.

“Houston is where I grew up. I have a soft spot in my heart for it. I’m in a bad mood. I’m willing to assist in any way we can. I’d like to lend my support. Always. That is my responsibility. Megan Thee Stallion stated, “That’s what I have to do.”

“And all we can do now is send prayers and sympathies.” We’re also sending great vibes to everyone and their families.”

Roddy Ricch, who performed before Scott, had earlier stated that his pay from performing at the event will be donated to the victims’ families.

Travis has promised to pay for the funerals of the eight fatalities, and he and his Cactus Jack Foundation are also collaborating with BetterHelp, an online mental health resource.

For anyone affected by the tragedy, the rapper is giving free one-on-one virtual counseling sessions.

For people in need of mental health services, Travis will collaborate with authorities from the National Alliance of Mental Illness, Mental Health America National, and MHA of Greater Houston.

“Travis continues in active conversations with the city of Houston, law police, and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those impacted,” a statement on behalf of the “Goosebumps” rapper stated.

“This is the first of many measures Travis intends to do as part of his personal promise to help people who have been affected through their grief and healing.”

Drake, who shared the stage with Travis for a portion of the event, has promised to “be of assistance in any way I can” to those who have been affected.

In his Instagram statement, Drake said, “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this horrific incident.”

“I despise using this platform to communicate such a sensitive emotion as grief, but I’m at a loss for words.” My heart breaks for the bereaved families and friends, as well as everyone else who is suffering.

“I will continue to pray for them all and will assist them in any manner I can.” “May God bless you everyone,” Drake said.

ScoreMore Shows, which helped create the festival alongside Live Nation concert promoters, has also agreed to provide mental health therapy and to establish a fund to assist with medical expenditures incurred as a result of the incident.

Last August, Nicks — who was scheduled to perform at the Jazz Aspen Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley, Austin City Limits, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival — pulled all remaining festival appearances for the year citing a rise in Covid-19 cases throughout the United States.

“While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the five performances I had planned for 2021,” she wrote in a statement shared to social media. “Because singing and performing have been my whole life, my primary goal is to keep healthy so I can continue singing for the next decade or longer. I’m devastated and I know the fans are disappointed, but we will look towards a brighter 2022.”
