Roddy Ricch Brings Out Kanye West At Album Listening Party

Roddy and Ye collaborated on the song “Pure Souls.”

Kanye West and Roddy Ricch had a rocky start. Roddy dissed Kanye on Instagram live for urinating on his Grammy in a viral video, and the two were originally linked together.

Instead of getting irritated, Kanye requested Roddy to assist him in the production of his Donda album in 2021. Roddy addresses his insult in the album’s twenty-first song, “Pure Souls,” in which he says he merely wanted Kanye to understand what awards like the Grammys mean to rappers with less popularity.

The two have had a good friendship since then. The two seem to enjoy each other’s company, whether it’s Kanye giving Roddy life advise or Roddy showing up at Kanye’s Sunday Service.

So, when Roddy started promoting and eventually released his brand new sophomore studio album LiveLifeFast on Friday (Dec. 17), Ye was a part of it. Roddy described how Kanye recently changed his outlook on life in an interview with Power 106 FM to promote the album.

Roddy interpolated a sample from Kanye West and Rick Ross’s 2010 single “Live Fast, Die Young” on LiveLifeFast’s opener “llf,” which was featured in the teaser released before the album, exemplifying Kanye’s impact on Roddy.

Roddy decided to commemorate the album’s release by throwing an album release party yesterday night (Dec. 17). While playing at the party, Roddy decided to bring out Kanye West, who has recently provided him with a lot of advice. As the duo sang “Pure Souls,” Ye graced the stage and seemed thrilled.
