Five multi-award-winning singers are set to play at next year’s Super Bowl, including Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J Blige.
Superbowl LVI will be held on Sunday, February 13th, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and will feature halftime performances by Eminem and his longtime mentor, Dr. Dre.
In a statement, Dr. Dre said, “The opportunity to perform in the Super Bowl LVI half-time show, and to do so in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest joys of my career.” “I’m grateful to Jay-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi, as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, for joining me in what will be a once-in-a-lifetime cultural event.”
It will be the first time in 30 years that Super Bowl LVI is held in Los Angeles.
The Weeknd – actual name Abel Tesfaye – performed solo with a choir, band, and dancers at Super Bowl LV in February, joining renowned halftime performances such as Beyoncé, Madonna, Prince, and Stevie Wonder.
Dr. Dre and record executive Jimmy Iovine announced their plans to open a new high school in Los Angeles back in June.
