Snoop Dogg and Michael Jackson worked on a song together, but never got the chanced to be released to fans.
Snoop in an interview first spoke about his track with Michael Jackson during an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, when he was asked if he had spent any time with the ‘Thriller’ singer before he passed away in 2009.
“Yeah, me and Mike have got a song together,” Snoop Dogg replied, chilled out as ever.
“I don’t know if it ever came out… It was part of some project he was doing.”
Snoop went on to reenact the phone call he had with Michael, mimicking the singer’s famously soft-spoken voice as he mimed holding up a telephone to his ear.
“He was like: ‘Well, first of all, my mom says that you look like someone in my family. We could be related.'”

Laughing as he recalled the bizarre conversation, Snoop Dogg continued: “Seriously? So what you need me to do Mike?”
Switching back to his Michael Jackson impersonation, he went on: “‘I have this particular track and I want you to sing on it and do whatever you want to do.’
“I’m like alright cuh, I’ma holla at you, I’ll get back at you.’ And that was a conversation with Snoop Dogg and Michael Jackson.”
A few years later, Snoop appeared on an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, where host Andy Cohen asked him what the unreleased track was like, and if fans would ever get to hear it.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper replied: “It was a healing peace song that he had made and it never came out but it was a beautiful record.

“Shirley Caesar was on it, it was a bunch of classic people on the record. And he passed away and the record never came out so I don’t know what ever happened to it.
“But it was the time of my life to be able to be in the studio to work with Michael Jackson.”
Since it was Michael’s song, chances are the track belongs to the late singer’s estate, along with the likely countless other unreleased records.
But one day me and you will get to here the amazing sound these two legends will produce over a good beat.
