Kris Jenner has disclosed that Travis Barker asked permission to marry Kourtney Kardashian before proposing to her.

Eight months after officially revealing their relationship in February, the Blink-182 drummer and Kardashian sister got engaged on October 17th.

Jenner informed viewers on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, October 29 that Barker proposed “all on his own,” but that he had first requested her permission to marry her daughter.

The musician proposed to his girlfriend on a beach in Montecito, California, which was decked out in red flowers.

The flowers were placed in the shape of a heart, with the initials “T” and “K” linked in the center, according to photos posted on social media by Kardashian.

“He’s a darling,” says the narrator. They’re ecstatic, and they can’t wait,” Jenner remarked.

“Kourtney and Travis were made for each other, they were made for each other.” They’re the cutest couple on the planet.

“They’re really in love, and they let us know it all the time,” she explained.

The duo has been well-known for their public displays of affection since confirming their relationship with an Instagram image of them holding hands in February.

DeGeneres confronted Jenner about being in close proximity to a couple who are “making out and almost having sex” during the interview.

“It feels like they’re the only two people in the room, and we’re at a loss for what to do. Jenner remarked, “I’m searching for a closet to hide in, anyplace to go.”

“But they’re at that point, and it’s really, really special, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch also admitted that on the day of the proposal, she lied to her daughter.

“The other night, I told Kourtney I was busy, and we were all secretly waiting for her in Montecito when she was ready to be engaged,” she revealed.

This will be Barker’s third marriage and Kardashian’s first. Landon, 18, and Alabama, 15, are Barker’s children from his previous marriage to actress and model Shanna Moakler.

Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, are the three children of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her former partner Scott Disick.
