Maybach Music Group will go down in Hip Hop history as one of the most successful labels/crews. Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and Wale are all members of the collective, which has spawned chart-topping and highly acclaimed rap artists.
Despite the fact that each of the MMG representatives collaborated on music on numerous occasions, including the Self Made compilation series, the camp experienced internal strife. Meek Mill and Rick Ross were rumored to be feuding recently.
Wale made an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast to promote his new album Folarin II. N.O.R.E., the host of Drink Champs, urged Wale to select between MMG teammates Meek and Rozay. Instead of answering the question, the DMV native took a shot of bourbon.
Meek Mill allegedly barred Rick Ross from his section at Miami’s LIV nightclub during a birthday celebration, according to N.O.R.E. Wale stated that he had no knowledge of the issue and does not think it to be genuine.
“I’m not sure about it.” That s### doesn’t even ring true. I was constantly n##### with both of them. That’s not something I’ve ever heard before. I can’t tell if I don’t hear anything like that,” Wale replied.
Meek Mill added fuel to the flames when he recently tweeted regarding the status of his record label’s contract. The Philadelphia rapper did not specify whether he had a fight with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group, Atlantic Records, or both.
“I haven’t received payment from the music industry, and I have no idea how much money labels make off of me!!!! Meek Mill tweeted, “I need lawyers right now!!!” That comment has since been deleted, but Meek’s Twitter account still has other posts about his issues.
